Improve your job interviews

These three things can significantly improve your job interviews:

1. Relaxed confidence. Prepare for an interview so you can walk in relaxed and confident. Prepare as much as you need to, not as much as someone else tells you.

2. Remember that NO ONE has all the skills and experience written on the job description. We’re all just trying to spend more time discussing our strengths and less talking about our weaknesses. All you can do is present the best reasons why you’re the best person for the job.

3. There are no interview questions, only opportunities for you to highlight, specifically, why you are the best candidate and fit.

During the job interview process you’re being judged, the whole time, by people you don’t know and who could have a massive impact on your life.

It sucks.

Remember that you have agency. You are observing them to see if these are people you want to work with.

Before interviews, connect with the things that you are most proud of in your life. Write them down. Not to talk about these things in the interview. But to connect with a deep sense of confidence in what you’ve achieved before you go into the interview.
